PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Whether your student is in elementary, middle, or high school, parent-teacher conferences are an important opportunity to discuss how your child is doing in school. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the partnership with your child’s teacher.
Here are some tips to keep in mind as you prepare for your conference:
- Look over recent assignments and test grades so that you know how your child has been performing in class.
Your neighborhood elementary school will be hosting a spring Connect to Kindergarten event for all upcoming 2013-2014 kindergarten students. This fun event will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd.
Each year at this time, the David Douglas School District joins school districts from throughout Oregon to honor our staff members who do the heavy lifting and behind-the-scenes work to make our schools great places to teach and learn.
Elementary school families, please note that Friday, April 26 is now a non-school day for elementary students. Elementary staff will have a curriculum planning and professional development day on Friday, April 26, and students will not be in school on that day.
